Mapping of Collective Centers for Ukrainian Refugees in Poland, Report 2024
From 15 March - 30 June 2024, IOM Poland and To Proste Foundation (Mapujpomoc.pl) conducted data collection and analysis to map the collective accomodation centres that support refugees from Ukraine in Poland.
Based on the information gathered from voivodeships’ governors, crisis management centers, local government units, UN agencies, NGOs and refugees, IOM and To Proste released a new report – “In Search of a Safe Harbor”- with the Association of Polish Cities & Union of Polish Metropolises. In Poland, there are an estimated 1,071 operational collective accommodation centers as of June 2024 that support refugees from Ukraine. The voivodeships with the highest number of collective centres include Śląskie (176 centres), Małopolskie (135), and Dolnośląskie (119) voivodeships. In the report, you can find a detailed analysis of the situation of collective centres in Poland, including the number of active and inactive centres, number of individuals residing in the centres, forms of support available at the centres, sources of funding and more.
